Hearts Healed in China and India | March, 2022

MONTHLY UPDATE

Did you know that in 2021, the Love Without Boundaries community, of which Room to Bloom is a supporter of, made it possible for 142 children to have heart surgery? That’s more than 2 children per week, which is so much more than a metric. It’s literally lives saved.

In January, 7 more children in India were able to receive their needed cardiac operations. Tiny Adita came to LWB as an emergency case, after being born with a very rare and complex heart defect which could no longer wait for surgery. Thanks to donors who support their medical work, they were able to quickly say yes. She is still in the hospital as we write this, but she is off the ventilator and her heart function is excellent.

Room to Bloom’s mission is to promote the beauty of adoption and to ascribe dignity to people with Down syndrome and other special needs. We do this by partnering with organizations that are dedicated to orphan care and adoption advocacy, strengthening families who have children with special needs, and giving a voice to the vulnerable.
